MandoPony is one of the few pony music artists who reached manestream recognition after being invited to do a collab with rising pop star Michelle Creber, known as the voice of Apple Bloom. As such, he has an enormous influence over the MLP fandom, which so far he had used sparingly.

Until now.

In a bold act, which took many bronies off-guard, MandoPony had claimed ownership of the show’s moest pony, Fluttershy, declaring her ‘his waifu’. In the recently released song My Fluttershy, MandoPony made it known that Fluttershy and him are ‘seldom seen apart’ and that ‘every day’ she makes his heart go ‘yay’.

Unsurprisingly this caused an outrage amongst the fans of the yellow pony. Some even went so far as to accuse MandoPony of outright stealing the song from Green Day side-project Foxboro Hot Tubs. Which, in a way, would amount to poetic justice, after Green Day shamelessly ripped off American Idiot from Dillinger Four. Boy, did that band go downhill really fast. But I digress.

They say that ‘power corrupts’, and it seems that this saying is applicable to MandoPony’s latest shenanigans. For shame, MandoPony! I honestly thought u were one of the good guys, but u have chosen the dark side. The fame must have gone into ur head, and now u r ‘mad with power’.
